The ozone is an integral part of the survival of the world. There are not many advantages and disadvantages of calling the ozone layer the ozone layer or the ozone screen instead, but calling it an ozone screen gives the impression that the ozone layer is a protective layer. Which it is. So I suppose that the ozone layer is indeed a screen.
However, ozone cannot be sent into the atmosphere as it would take a large amount of energy to send the ozone to the ozone layer. A large quantity of ozone will also need to be sent into the atmosphere which is not cost effective. In fact, it would cost less to stop destroying the ozone layer/screen.
