Introduction

Chapter 2: Protecting the Ozone Layer

Having been tasked to do up a blog with regards to the ozone layer, our group plans to focus on the negative impacts CFCs have on the Ozone Layer and the consequent global concerns arising from it. Despite the fact that the use of CFCs have been banned since 1996, it is predicted that it would take at least 80 years to completely remove them from the atmosphere. As a result, the effects of CFCs on the ozone layer remain as an ongoing problem and our group hopes to delve deeper into this area. We will take a look at how CFC affects the ozone and the problems pertaining to ozone layer depletion.
